Slates of Otero
Its old vines have been cultivated by several generations. Its slate soils have witnessed the work of its people, their leisure time and the games and life that the younger ones bring. Nestled in El Bierzo, stands Otero. And from its lands, impregnated with the legacy left behind, comes Pizarras de Otero. Produced in stainless steel tanks, Pizarras de Otero is a reflection of the area where it was born; of its land, its colours and aromas. This mencía is presented without make-up, showing the strength of its youth. Fruity, Pizarras de Otero highlights its varietal character with mineral notes. Ample and complex on the nose, the acidity of the mencía also gives it great freshness. Bigarreau cherry red colour with violet reflections. Medium-high intensity, with notes of forest fruits such as cherry, plum, floral (violet) and mineral background. Very varietal. Balanced entry on the palate with a long and fresh passage. Clean aftertaste where the fruity notes of the variety stand out.
